La Montaña, Bariloche
A really well-organised school with great staff and interesting after class activities. I went in the low season and had one-to-one Spanish classes (three hours a day). It’s normally four hours a day if there’s more than one student per class but I wasn’t charged any extra.
The team listen to your requirements and will try to accommodate you. My teacher, Flavia, was amazing. She’s great for beginner students with excellent grammar reasoning and very encouraging.
La Montaña offers ski packages in the winter and can also arrange homestays, which I opted for.
And Bariloche is one hell of a place to stay for a few weeks with hikes, ski slopes, horse riding and heaps of chocolate to keep you entertained.
I’ve heard negative reports (from former students) that Patagonia School in Bariloche is not worth attending. Apparently, it lacks organisation and students have been charged full prices despite cancelling their courses in advance.
